The Good the Bad and the Ugly

There are days when all we want to do is give up. You know what I’m talking about, no matter how hard we try or how much work we put in, nothing seems to be going as it should and our batteries are all but running on empty. Yeah, I think you get the picture. So what happens when it’s one of those days? How do we keep that smile and positive focus our main stance? How the f*** do we not lose the plot? Well this one is a tough one to bare; you see it’s ok for me to say “stay strong”, “everything will be ok”, “have belief”, but that isn’t always helpful. At times like this we need to stop; stop everything that we are doing and look at what it is we are trying to achieve. We know life isn’t simple and it’s more of a bitch than we are led to believe, but it’s having the reassurance that no matter what is thrown at us, we can pick ourselves up, say we tried and that today may not be what we needed but tomorrow is brand new and anything can happen. No matter how mindful we try and be, we can still get lost in the stresses of everyday life, trying to juggle responsibilities and dealing with negativity from outside sources. Trying to run before I can walk is one of my faults: I can be a little impatient at times and try and do too much at the same time, hoping that something will stick, but I know more than anyone that the universe doesn’t work like that. It’s easy to get lost in life, it can chew us up and spit us out if we let it. Sometimes we have to stop. Stop and prioritise what’s important. Stop and see how much of what we are worrying about is actually worth worrying about. Stop and take stock of what it is we want and stop the things we don’t want.

Finding courage or self belief isn’t easy on our own, and I find myself fortunate to have an amazing support network and have put in place measures for when life becomes a bitch. I understand that life is good, bad and ugly all at the same time: it’s our reaction to it that depends on it affecting us.
You needn’t face life’s troubles alone, Byw is here to help build you a personal road map to your future. Everyone has the ability to be whatever they truly believe they can be. Let’s build our dreams together.
