What is the meaning of life? Do we really know? For me it’s happiness, happiness for me and happiness for my family, happiness for my friends and almost everyone else there is on planet Earth. For you it could be something completely different; I don’t know what it is, only you can answer that question. We all search for the meaning whether we know it or not, it’s part of who we are. We are always looking, but few of us actually find it. “Why?” I hear you ask. Simple; we tend to look outwards and not inwards for something that has always been there since the day we were born. The meaning of life is coded into our DNA, and once we become in tune with who we are – through mindfulness and the practice of meditation – the answers to life’s questions become clearer. I believe if these methods were taught at school our children would grow up to become more understanding individuals, with the abilities to cope with life’s trials and tribulations, with the ability to know their strengths and excel in their chosen field. We have a duty to educate our future and that’s what our children are – they are our future. We have a duty to give them the best start in life, we have a duty to give them the ability to have a better life than us. If the human race is to progress and survive, it has to look at other methods of doing things without mocking them or passing them off as a fad. There is scientific proof that meditation and mindfulness is effective when practised from a young age, and it’s time – as responsible adults – we opened our eyes and minds, switch off our TVs and seriously considered the welfare of the world’s children. There are many meanings to life’s problems, but our problems start with us and it’s within us we must start looking. By using mindfulness, no matter what age we are – old or young, boy or girl – mindfulness will change our lives. It’s time to wrap it up for now, but if anything we have said has peeked your interest, please feel free to contact us here at Byw. Thank you so much for taking time to read my ramblings and I hope that you have an amazing day.
