We Have to Believe

Hi everyone, thanks so much for taking time out to visit Byw, hopefully it’s going to be a visit worth taking. Over the last few weeks I have been working on my talk and workshop and have neglected my blog a little, and I apologise for not being around but I’m back and full of excitement for the months to come. If somebody had told me 2 and a half years ago when I stared my journey that I would now be teaching and helping others with the skills I had acquired, I’d have thought they were mad, but here I am: a living testimony of what is possible with faith and self-belief. Life throws so much at us without mercy, and if we are unprepared it can make the strongest of character break. I’m not saying what I teach will change your life – only you can do that. Mindful-Attraction can however, give you the mindset to a more balanced, focused and happier life. Before we start anything we have to believe we are going to finish it or what’s the point of even starting? It’s common sense, right? So before we even start sitting down to attempt mindful-attraction, we have to believe we can do it, because you can do it; anyone can do it – that’s the beauty of it. The only thing you need do is believe, not just in what you are doing, but also in you. You are the most important part of mindful-attraction, without you believing in you then there is no point starting. I have always been fairly confident, I can’t deny that, but it’s always come hand in hand with a deep nagging doubt that has been far more influential in my life. Since starting mindful-attraction my confidence has grown, my fear and doubt haven’t gone – no, no, they are still there, but now I manage them rather than them managing me. I’m far from perfect – who is? – but what I am is a human being, just like you, and if I can do it so can you. All you need do to start is open your mind and believe: anything really is possible.

The Next Step

Moving forward, taking the next step to fulfilling our goals can be a little overwhelming, if not down right scary, and its natural to feel this way – it’s all part of stepping into the unknown. It’s our defence system kicking in. If we feel able or competent in what we do then there shouldn’t be any reason why we can’t move forward and grow without any fuss or hassle – as long as we are always willing to keep learning along the way. Recently giving my first workshop and talk has given me a refreshed quest to share the skills and techniques that I have learned and found helpful and effective. For a first time giving a talk and basic workshop I was unsurprisingly nervous – and I think it showed slightly – but thankfully I was treated kindly by the friendly participants. It went much better than I expected but still needs work on presentation and structure. Understanding that improvement happens with practice and I am already planning my next few sessions in the next month or so, taking along the lessons I learned from the first; structure being the main lesson. I look forward to meeting you all sometime in the future at one of my talks and remember: each step we make and each move forward is making us stronger and more capable as long as we are willing to keep an open mind and keep learning.

Mindful Music

I love listening to music; all kinds from pop to classical, rock to opera- I have no prejudice, if it’s a good song or track then it’s on my playlist. Shuffle can be amusing or annoying depending on who you ask. Anyway, the reason I’m talking about music is because music has the ability to heal, the ability change our mood, the ability to motivate. Music can be – and is – a powerful tool for self-help when used mindfully. We all have a song that reminds us of a time, a place, a situation: they can make us sad as well as happy, emotional or ecstatic. Music can literally touch our soul. Mindful music isn’t just restricted to dolphins singing or pan pipes – we can use any music to be mindful, although hardcore death metal I haven’t quite mastered. It’s easier to start with a song you are familiar with, obviously something that’s an easy listen. Get your headphones on, plug in and sit back, and before you start make sure you are nice and comfortable. OK, ready? Take a few deep breaths, in through your nose and out through your mouth, keeping your breathing steady throughout the experience and it’s time to press play and begin. The real trick here isn’t actually listening to the song or track, but to actually feel it. This is why using headphones is helpful as it’s just you and the music; loose yourself in it – please give it a try. I use this method often, it’s one that can help if you are constantly in a busy environment. It helps you step away for a few minutes or so. So go on then, give it a try let and me know how you get on. Allow yourself to explore every aspect of the track. Give your full attention, give yourself permission to climb inside the track and dance along with the sound waves. The idea is to simply listen and feel it, to become fully entwined with the composition without any kind of judgment of the lyrics, genre, artist, instruments or language. Please enjoy.

Hard Work

Take a deep breath, close your eyes and imagine a life where you have full control. Actually, not control, I don’t want to call it that; more like a life where you are in the driving seat, you have the choice to go anywhere you want, do whatever you dream, be whoever you want to be. Ultimately, a life with free-will. Are you there? Can you see it? Can you feel it? Can you smell it? Take in all the glory and warmth of fulfilment and achievement. Believe you are there, that it’s been foretold in the stars – this is who you are and what you will achieve. Believe in you and others will follow; give yourself the best gift by being the best version of you. Forgive yourself for the past and start living for the future. Ok, I know I can be a tad over-dramatic sometimes and it’s down to the fact that I am extremely passionate about what I talk about. I care about my life and the lives of the people around me, and would love nothing more than to see others have the same happiness I have inside me: that’s why I started Byw. I know a lot of my ideas may seem unusual and hard to grasp, and to be totally honest with you, it’s probably good for you to think this way. I want and expect people to question my theories as I want them to be taken seriously; I believe they deserve to be. I’m not going to say that “mindful-attraction” (what i have come to call what I practice) will change your life because it won’t – that task is really down to you and how much you are willing to believe in yourself. What I am saying, is that alongside hard work and your own self-belief mindful-attraction can make that change.

Law of Attraction

I often talk about a magical force in the universe that grants our wishes and dreams; a force that manifests itself in everything around us, the good and the bad. That force is known commonly as the ‘law of attraction’ and it works without fail or prejudice. I first heard about the law of attraction around ten years ago, but never really gave it the attention or credit it deserved at the time – I was too busy to notice that its effect on my life was transformative. I was blind. Fast forward to the present day and I feel gratitude that I gave it another look, because it’s changed my life. Ok, I’m not bathing in money and I don’t have a fast car or mansion to call my own, but what I do have is happiness and faith in myself, and to me that’s priceless. I’m no expert in the L.O.A, far from it, but using it daily I’m harnessing my skills and making them more and more effective. From parking spaces to new opportunities, the L.O.A has granted them all to me without fail; its whether I have been aware enough to notice the signs that are presented to me. We can all make wishes and we can all have them come true if we put the effort into believing they will happen. We must have an open mind and take notice of what is being offered to us without fearing the outcome, and that’s where the majority of us fail: we fear the unknown, so when new opportunities or situations are presented to us we walk away from them – even when it’s exactly what we have been asking for all along. If we want the universe and life to work for us then we need to trust, we need to believe in its powers and abilities as much as our own. The Law of Attraction isn’t anything new, it’s been around since the beginning of time, it’s been practised by people all through the ages – the evidence is there if you are willing to look. There are books, films, seminars and the like appearing daily, all teaching the L.O.A principles and it’s big business. This works for so many people and it’s time you started making it work for you. At Byw we want to give you the tools to sculpt a life of your choosing; we offer the support and direction to get you starting to believe in not only yourself, but also your dreams, ambitions and the law of attraction.

Anything is Possible

Who wouldn’t want to be the best version of themselves?Who wouldn’t want to achieve greatness?Who wouldn’t want to be successful, or be remembered for making a difference to the world? I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t want these things, but it seems that all the above are not true for everyone. Some of us have no self-confidence to achieve anything close to our dreams and ambitions, and its stopping us being who we were born to be. We are not born this way; in fact we are all born with the potential to become amazing humans, fantastical individuals with the abilities to create anything our minds can conceive. So why don’t we? Lack of confidence, self-belief and direction – alongside fear -seem to be the main reasons we are not achieving our full potential, and here at Byw we believe that everyone deserves the chance to shine. We hear a lot of excuses about why people can’t achieve, and the majority of them are just that excuses: we tell ourselves we are not able or worthy of a happy successful life. We actually choose to live this way – we are afraid of stepping outside our comfort zone but that’s exactly what we have to do. I’m not going to go into why we do these things to ourselves right now, I’m more interested in how we change the habits and beliefs that hold us back. We truly have full control of us: you and me are far more capable than we are aware, nothing is down to chance or coincidence, it’s all choice – our choice. What if I was to tell you that life can be as easy or as hard as we chose it to be? What if I was to tell you that with a little bit of hard work and determination you could start living a life that you truly want and deserve? What if I was to tell you that you can determine your own happiness? Well that’s exactly what I am saying – you can have these things and more, and all you have to do is one simple thing: believe. Believe in you. Everyone deserves happiness and fulfilment and Byw’s ambition is to help people achieve just that, whilst together making the world a better place for us all. Improvement together.

Love,love,love

What is love? Is it just a word or is it more than that? I know it gets thrown around far too often and said out of context on so many occasions, but it’s meaning to me is as strong as ever. Love isn’t exclusive and nor should it be; love is universal. I feel love for life and for my family and friends, I feel love for the sun that shines and the rain that pours, I feel love for every living organism on the planet and universe for that matter – and it gives me a feeling of pride and gratitude that amongst all this love I count myself at the top of the list. Today is Valentine’s Day; a day for people to show their loved ones how they feel, and in our forever busy lifestyles I think it’s important to do so. It’s so easy to take them for granted without realising it and sometimes we need to be reminded. Let us not forget about the people who are alone; not just today but everyday – they deserve love as much as me and you and it’s for them that Byw offers support and guidance and the opportunity to find love in their lives. If you read my blog often then you know that I believe the key to everlasting happiness is self love, and once you open the lock everything else comes naturally. We all deserve love and happiness – all of us – and today I’d like to wish you all a full and loving life. I hope you share that love with others around you, spreading it far and wide. Love is more than a word, love is endless.
